Marguerite Barrington LaFourcade

Marguerite Lafourcade Barrington was born in Hawthorne, California on May 18, 1924. Her parents were John B. Lafourcade, who was a native of France, and Josephine Lastiry Lafourcade, who was born in Spain. She was the youngest of the Lafourcade children who, in the order of their birth, are: Amy; twins, John B. Lafourcade, Jr. and Frank; Louise; Josephine; Peter; and Marguerite.

Marguerite Barrington attended elementary school in Hawthorne. When her parents moved to Cherry Valley, she completed her high school education there. She married O'Niel Beatty in 1941 and has two children: Earl O'Niel Beatty and John Beatty. They moved to Newport Beach, California. She then enrolled in beauty school, graduated, and passed the state board.

Mrs. Barrington, who now lives in Costa Mesa, California, is a full-time cosmetologist in all the fields. She still has four salons and is working and teaching.
