Purchasing Division

The Rancho Cucamonga Purchasing Division provides centralized purchasing for goods and services to all city departments, including the Fire District. In addition to placing orders, this division is responsible for the City's communication needs (both voice and data), office equipment, the maintenance of equipment and phones, and the surplus of all City and Fire District equipment during its life cycle.

The Purchasing Division at Rancho Cucamonga is the gatekeeper of a market that grows increasingly sophisticated and diverse. There is opportunity for potential vendors to share a market, which for state and local governments comprises 15 percent of the Gross National Product. Competition is the keyword that drives the use of the City's tax dollars most effectively. We strive to be as open and equitable as we can in reaching vendors, especially in Rancho Cucamonga, who can supply our needs.
