Promoting Public Safety and Community Oriented Policing

The City Manager's Office works with the Police Department (Services provided via a contract with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department) and various City Departments to solve neighborhood crime issues. Often crime is just a symptom of broader problems including lack of property maintenance, deteriorating facilities, and lack of neighborhood trust.

Through working with the Police Department, Code Enforcement, Public Works, Building and Safety, Fire Department, Traffic Engineering, and other departments as needed, the City Manager's Office oversees and coordinates solutions to the whole problem and not just the symptoms.
