The Construction Management Section issues
all street related permits for construction activities in
Public Rights-of-Way. Sometimes Lane Closure Permits are
required for construction work that may block vehicle travel
lanes. These are reviewed by the Traffic Section staff as
well as Constuction staff. Street Construction permit applications
are available at the Lower Level Engineering Counter.
The Construction Management Inspection teams are divided
into two areas of construction activities: one for Developer
projects such as tract subdivisions, and shopping centers.
The other, for City funded capital projects. Representatives
from each team can assist citizens for individual projects,
such as sidewalk, drive approach and landscaping construction
permits.
