Sam Maloof Residence, Workshop and Gardens
Sam Maloof is America's most widely admired contemporary
furniture craftsman. Maloof, entirely self taught, is one of only a handful of furniture designer-craftsmen to make his livelihood working full time with his hands. His historic residence and workshop, located in the foothills of Rancho Cucamonga, is a living museum where visitors can view examples of his style and craftsmanship, which has even been exhibited in the Smithsonian. Public tours of the Maloof residence are available twice weekly, and special group tours are available by appointment. The Maloof residence and workshop — operated by the Sam and Alfreda Maloof Foundation for Arts and Crafts — is a must-see stop that should be on the itinerary of anyone who appreciates fine woodworking.

The Sycamore Inn Prime Steak House
This historic treasure, built in 1848, is Rancho Cucamonga’s oldest dinner house and a favorite among locals and visitors when it comes to fine dining. Originally used as a tavern and inn for weary travelers, the Sycamore Inn has enjoyed a fascinating history over the years. During the 1900’s the old dirt road that fronted the Inn became the fabled Route 66, a primary route from points east to the Pacific Ocean. During the colorful years of the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s, the Inn hosted the rich and famous...movie stars and notables…en route to Las Vegas and Palm Springs. Today, the Sycamore Inn serves patrons a delicious variety of steak, fish, and chicken entrees sure to please any palate. The Sycamore Inn’s signature prime rib — aged, slow-roasted, and hand-carved — is a winner!
