About Public Works Services
Public Works Services is the steward of the City's growing infrastructure of buildings, streets, storm drains, parks and landscape improvements. Simply stated, our mission is to "Build, Maintain, and Protect with Pride" by providing high quality customer service, utilizing safe and efficient practices, and by being proactive in planning and implementation, in both emergency and non-emergency situations.

To fulfill this broad mandate, Public Works Services is organized into the following groups: Public Works Administration; Facilities Maintenance; Streets, Storm Drain and Fleet Maintenance; and Parks and Landscape Maintenance. The Administrative Group, led by Public Works Services Director Bill Wittkopf, includes overall direction for the Public Works management team and administrative support staff. Functions include responding to internal and public inquiries, general office duties, managing the Tree Registry Program, developing section procedures and guidelines, preparing contract specifications, preparing maps and diagrams, analysis of performance indicators, ensuring employee health and safety, budget preparation and project management. The Group also provides support to three maintenance superintendents and seven maintenance supervisors. Please explore the topics listed on the left for further details about the services provided by these groups.

For public works inquiries or to report a problem, please call (909) 477-2730 Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. or submit a request for service online through Rancho Responds.
