Crime-Free Multi-Housing ProgramDedicated To Your Safety

Our Crime-Free Multi-Housing Unit works with landlords, property managers, and property owners to make rental properties and apartment/condominium complexes a safer living environment for residents. The program is divided into five phases:

  • Classroom Instruction; provides training on the "Crime-Free Lease Addendum", learning the eviction process, establishing fair resident screening processes, legal rights and responsibilities of property owners and managers, and improving the working relation ship with law enforcement.
  • Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design or CPTED; yearly property inspections and a review of areas needing improvement for crime prevention.
  • Sign Posting; after passing the CPTED inspection the property will be authorized to post special Crime-Free Multi-Housing signs to identify the property as one which works directly with Rancho Cucamonga Police Department.
  • Tenant/Manager Meetings; Tenant/Manager meetings are scheduled to bring managers, tenants, and members of the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department together to inform tenants on the Crime-Free Multi-Housing Program.
  • Final Certification; A final certificate is issued and displayed in the manager's office of rental complexes for the benefit of current and future tenants showing that the property has completed all phases of the Crime-Free Multi-Housing Program.
