Celebrate Rancho Cucamonga's History The Rancho Cucamonga Library is proud to announce the arrival of our Local History Room at the Paul A. Biane Library at Victoria Gardens! On display there are books, documents, artifacts and photographs that tell the story of Rancho Cucamonga's rich history.
The highlight of the room is our I-Cell, an interactive digital touchscreen display where you can learn about our history through photographs, writings and video. The I-Cell is also the spot to watch fascinating local history videos recorded by Rancho Cucamonga residents, funded by a California of the Past - Digital Storytelling grant awarded by the California State Library. You may also see these videos on the California of the Past web site. If you're interested in participating in this exciting project with your own story, please visit our Digital Storytelling page for more information. Check out pictures of the Local History Room and I-Cell below.
Also make sure to visit our new Rancho Cucamonga "Portal to the Past" website! Brought to you through a collaboration between the Library and the Rancho Cucamonga Planning Department, this resource features historic photos, landmarks, digital stories from residents, and a ton of fascinating interactive elements to guide you through our city's fascinating history. |
