Foothill Boulevard

Foothill Boulevard also known as Historic Route 66 is the City’s main commercial corridor and one of the most heavily traveled streets in the City.  Currently, one of the oldest sections of Foothill Boulevard in the community is being improved (e.g., Foothill Boulevard west of Vineyard Avenue).  Construction on this portion of Foothill Boulevard began in July 2010 with the removal of the old railway bridge.  When completed the old railway bridge will be replaced with a modern pedestrian bridge carrying bicyclists and pedestrians along the popular Pacific Electric Trail.  Additionally, this construction project will include a storm drain, medians, sidewalks, a trailhead, landscaping and street widening of Foothill Blvd.
