The Capital Improvements Section is responsible for the preparation and implementation of the City's Capital Improvement Program (CIP). This includes the design, construction, and installation of various public improvements within the CIP, such as paving, curb and gutter, sidewalks, landscape and irrigation, storm drains, signals, railroad crossing improvements, and City buildings.
We are pleased to release the City's Capital Improvement Program for Fiscal Year 2012/2013. For further information or inquiries on Capital Projects Citywide, please contact Jerry Dyer, Senior Civil Engineer at (909) 477-2740 ext. 4037.
In addition to designing the public improvements for the City, the engineers in the Project Management section are responsible for long-range planning of the City's public construction projects, as well as the public bidding process and contract administration.
This staff of Engineers and Inspectors ensure each project is designed and constructed according City standards and specifications, as well as within the budgets designated by the City Council.
