Design purposes for this project include:

• Creating a space for quiet and individual reflection on the invaluable service the Armed Forces and Veterans have provided to our country throughout history.

• Creating a meaningful and informative tribute to each of the individual branches of the Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard).

• Creating a moving and educational timeline briefly describing the country’s major wars/conflicts.

• Creating a thoughtful and reflective tribute to symbolize all Veterans and members of the Armed Forces serving our country in the past, present and future.

• Acknowledgement and reference the various Veterans’ memorials within Rancho Cucamonga which pay tribute to individual community members who have served in the Armed Forces.

• To provide a place supplying information on community resources available for local Veterans and families.

• To accommodate the needs for American flag retirement ceremonies.
