Building Inspection is responsible for providing timely inspections from ground breaking to completion of the private construction projects. Building Inspectors inspect the projects during the construction phases, and verify compliance with the approved plans and permitted designs. Additionally, the Building Inspectors respond to citizen concerns regarding illegal construction and substandard living conditions as outlined in the adopted codes. After a natural disaster incident, building inspectors will be responsible for the damage assessment work. Finally, this unit is also responsible for enforcement of the Mobile Home Park Program.
Inspection Requests:
Inspection requests are as easy as 1-2-3. Choose from either of the following and submit the request by 4:30 p.m. the day before the requested inspection date.
1. Use the on-line request by using RCTOPS or calling our Intergrated Voice Response (IVR) system or
2. Call (909) 477-2710 ext 4248 or
3. Fax your request to (909) 477-2711 or
4. Make your request in person after you obtain the required permit at the permit counter
